Both the Batinguel-Bagacay and Colon St Bridges are open now. I have driven over each of them. A few weeks ago it was announced that the Batinguel-Bagacay bridge was open. When I drove over it there was still a sign saying that it was closed but people were freely driving over the bridge.
Have they finished the ramps on and off the bridges? If so, great. If not, are they in good enough condition to not damage/bottom out /rip off the exhaust of cars?
The ramps were designed for the Filipino version of Evil Kneivel,, who goes by the name of Hardly Can Make It and jumps fences, canals, car hoods at nite without lights..
Went over it yesterday on my motorbike, the ramps are still dirt and you could probably take a car over that has a higher ground clearance...the bridge itself is nice though!
Think they may be sealing the ramps at the Batinguel-Bagacay bridge today when I tried it in my pajero around 11am, as they were turning every one around on the approach road...cars and motorbikes.
as of this am; the ramps aren't completed but 4 wheeled vehicles can cross over. the colon st/hypermart bridge is 1 lane only for bikes.
