    Great idea with the current spike in cases. Get everyone out of the house. What could go wrong?

    Noreco isn't really thinking ahead as to the "consequences" of having an all out Brownout with Covid cases rising in the area.

    Lol ok. Let's completely ignore the supply chain and blame the retailer.

    When the eastern oil pipeline in the US shut down should everyone have blamed the corner gas stations for running out of gas?

    If Tyson had a virus wipe out all their chickens should we blame grocery stores for not being able to stock chicken products?

    No, that would be ridiculous. The same applies to electrical infrastructure supply chains.

    The electrical grid here sucks, but let's not point the finger at the wrong people. Even if we had choices as consumers with electrical retailers these NGCP brownouts would shut power down to all of them.

    EDC = power generation
    NGCP = main lines
    NORECO = retail

    According to a knowledgeable neighborhood source, the NGCP has approved the Dumaguete City Council request to postpone the blackout sunday 6 june, due to the covid surge in negros. I'm not certain, but be prepared for a cancellation....

    I still think we need to pressure the government to fund the fix to the inability to shut down only parts of the 69kv line, and put management in place that has the brains to plan and design a proper isolation / disconnection system.

    This would be a very bad idea for a foreigner. We are not allowed to participate in politics here. Grounds for deportation.

    My neighbor told me that this power interruption planned on June 6 will be rescheduled. Is that right?
