An electricity power monopoly.............should focus on providing such product. Welcome to 101- having a brain, STOP SHUTTING DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ffssssssssssssssssss
I know there are distribution branches that can be isolated. Shouldn't it be possible, instead of sending ten teams out scattered all over the place and shutting off the power to the whole entire region for 12 frikin' hours ... instead, just shut off power to one limited distribution region and bring all of the teams into that region and finish that work quickly, like maybe 4 hours, and get the power back on, and then the next day move to another region. Maybe that just requires too much thinking and planning.
Has anyone ever reached out to NGCP and asked for an explanation? Maybe they have a reason. Maybe not a good one but it could be entertaining to read.
I made a similar suggestion on a different thread regarding the half done roadworks all over the area, different subject but same principal, why split your forces and cause disruption / inconvenience in a lot of places at once for a long time when they could all concentrate on and FINISH one section then move on
We don't know if NGCP is working in different areas or if they are consolidated to one area. Also, only so many people can climb a pole at one time. Only so many people can operate the machinery to erect new poles at one time. There is no point in having all your workers in one location standing around doing nothing. I've personally never seen an NGCP crew here, probably because I don't live by or regularly pass by the main lines, so I have no idea how they operate. I think it would be a bit different than road construction projects though. Road construction and maintenance is a contractual thing as well, you might have different companies winning bids for different sections of road. Not the same with the monopoly these electrical companies have.
I think its quite obvious that they are going to be working in different areas, if they were going to be consolidated to one area why shut down everything between Amlan & Siaton. Yes i know but the contracts are given by the government so why don't they fix one section at a time.
