    Yes it does, and it goes beyond those "awards" too. This electric cooperatives association also operates a political party.
    Just the other day the boss of NEA (the government watchdog for all the 121 local electric cooperatives) was fired for allegedly allowing those cooperatives to finance political activity.
    Electricity in this country is an organizational mess. There's the NEA, Philreca (the 121 cooperatives), the ECERF, GENCO, NGCP, TRANSCO, PSALM, NPC, and I'm probably forgetting a few.
    As an aside, in 2020 NorecoII dropped out of the NEA list of best performing cooperatives. I guess they didn't get an award for that.

    We were really happy yesterday when the power came back on 2hrs early at 4pm :banana:, not so happy when they took the 2hrs back between 10pm and midnight :tsktsk:.
