Perhaps just let us know the days in a year that we will have electricity. That way you will seldom post at all.

My guess is they will be frequent for a while. They cancelled several maintenance days and they might be playing catch up.

Still curious how many wooden poles are left. NGCP turned off their FB messaging, their website contact form is broken and they don't reply to emails.

And banks close the door when they run out of money.

Anyone that has trimmed a tree knows that trimming encourages new growth unless you chainsaw the limb flush with the trunk or killer trees flush with the ground.

Noreco II is in a catch 22, being unable to trespass on private property and then obtaining permission of an unknown squatter who planted and owns the tree. Snip snip snip is all they can do under present law or regulations.

The landowner/tree owner trumps government and Noreco II. Case in point at the airport where landing aircraft where brushing the top of a mango tree. The court ruled that the mango tree owner could not be compelled to trim his tree.

For safety reasons, the CAAB had to prohibit commercial aircraft from landing West to East over the mango tree.

Have had the same thought for years. Why trim back vegetation when it will never end. If a tree or any growth impedes than rip it out or chop it down. No one has the coin to sue Noreco anyways. Those that have the money care not for one or 2 trees on their property (generally speaking) No wonder the cost is out the roof and will only triple over the next decade.

NORECO is notorious for not paying easements and when losing in court they still refuse to pay, even ignoring Supreme Court verdicts against them. They have even lied and tried to get the public to shame people into compliance on social media who have won cases against them. I would be extremely hostile to the company and lock gates anytime their employees came around my property as well if I were in that situation. They believe they are above the law...and that appears to be true.

There is a relatively recent law (republic act 11361, published august 8, 2019) that deals with electricity easements, probably in hopes of ending long term legal battles and obstruction regarding easements. The "implementing rules and regulations" for that law from the department of energy is still only in draft form though.
