1. Active cases more than quadrupled in 3 weeks time, with shockingly high numbers for the last couple days; 2. Hospital occupancy in one case (Siliman) gone up from 54% on sep 21 (reported number, not so sure about the accuracy, to 100% 4 days later. I suspect very similar developments at the other hospitals. 3. Neg. Oriental Provincial hospital has been very negligent in reporting testing numbers, between early April and the end of August there was no reporting, then on Aug 29 and Sep 5 they did report, but after that nothing again. I would say that is unacceptable, and I don't understand why the local IATF doesn't push them to fix that. I can feel another ECQ coming, maybe even soon.
If you are losing track (as are most of us) then what hope for most locals - why couldn't they just have 1, 2, 3 etc???
Having read today on the forum that there is a rise in cases of Covid and shortage of bed accommodation at Silliman Medical Centre Prompted me to look for my local weekly newspaper dated March 18 2020, such was the fear people were experiencing at that time and for the first time I have seen in any newspaper, was a full page prayer! Whether or not one believes in a God, there are in times of crisis, some people who show great herosim and courage, risking all to help others. Such is the gratitude we all need to show to those on the front line of this Pandemic. So, where do we stand? As a Global Community we should stand shoulder to shoulder in times of need, no matter what our beliefs may be, all lives matter. Peace be with you all.

According to their prognosis, the worst is still to come this winter. > In our reference scenario, which represents what we think is most likely to happen, our model projects 97,000 cumulative reported deaths due to COVID-19 on January 1. This represents 56,000 additional deaths from September 27 to January 1. Daily reported deaths will rise to 1,060 by December 8, 2021 (Figure 22).
