We are all hostages to our own governments and with no rights anywhere else. The State is gradually eroding freedom and using any excuse to do so. In the UK people campaigning against Climate issues (this is not a debate on that issue or if blocking highways is the correct way to do it) are under pressure to be labelled 'terrorists' - I view a terrorist as someone whose sole aim is to strike terror into a population for political reasons (people may disagree on that, but I can think of other labels for people with different agendas).

So, as most people accept, we have laws to prevent terrorism - but how possible is it than in your case (protesting your right to enter your country) would have you labelled a terrorist and have all your rights removed. How many fellow citizens will back you as someone trying to get the freedom you deserve or will agree with the State because you are labelled as a threat to them. Dangerous times.

And you are wise to be cautious! The new Green List is as follows "Included in the green list are Algeria, American Samoa, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Chad, China (Mainland), Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Cook Islands, Eritrea, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Gibraltar, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China), Kiribati, Madagascar, Mali, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Montserrat, Nauru, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niger, Niue, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Poland, Saba (Special Municipality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands), Saint Helena, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Sint Eustatius, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tokelau, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu and Yemen."

I see no mention of Australia! But my literal translation of above takes note of the word "Included", meaning 'part of'. I think they mean 'The Green List countries are....' but if they don't then they have more Green List countries that we don't know about! Who knows!!!

Btw, North Korea on the Green List - a country with so few cases because they lie??? Nonsense.

Must have got it from this below

The 'Green list', updated on 4th September, includes Australia, China, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China), New Zealand, Taiwan. I have shown only the countries (from the list) almost everyone would find relevant (including those on a Visa run) but the fuller list can be found at:

Yes you did - you got the information from me as published in the press two days ago - but the new list I quoted was produced one day later. Hence my reason to point out to you that if you planned anything based on the Green List you would have found 24 hours later it had changed!

Could you fly to one of these countries and then enter from there? There are always loopholes...even if those loopholes may be a bit more expensive.

That was a concern in the UK early on - I think most countries want some proof of travel itinerary but with not all countries issuing Exit Stamps (the UK didn't but maybe they do now) I'm not sure how they know.

May I suggest to you to try via North Korea as I understand it to be a marvellous country (as told to me by the many people who leave there) and does great haircuts. Btw, I 'met' a girl (brief encounter) in the UK who 'said' she was from North Korea - not sure if that was true but she was not a particularly nice person.

In my opinion they bring it on themselves and the shame is that they do put up with all sorts of nonsense and have a long history of it.
