Translation: Our linemen continue to struggle just to get power back to our member-consumer-owners because of the unexpected damage caused by Hurricane Odette. (Either I am proficient at the language OR google helped me).

Last I saw was half of Bayawan and Pamplona are still without power, elsewhere they're pretty much done.
Poor folks in those areas though, more than 3 weeks without power.

Most poor folk here hardly use any electricity. Other than lights in the afternoon and charging cellphones my SO's family doesn't have much use for it. They go to bed and wake up very early so the lights are not really an issue.

I am in Pamplona and we just got power yesterday, we had a generator running for the last 3 weeks every day and provided phone charging for the neighborhood, you would be surprised how many people took us up on that with battery charged lights and fans along with the phones and yes these people are poor but are very happy to now have power

We're just outside Mabinay and still no power. Luckily we have a generator that we run a few hours a day for our water well, freezer, ref etc and likewise we charge cellphones and supply some electric and water to neighbours. Noreco I have told residents to get private electricians to connect their supplies to the poles and they will come round and check....eventually. They've also told us to dig the holes for replacement poles. They still have no idea when we'll be reconnected.
