    Any Tennis fans here.......Djokovic!
Austriailia's stance agaianst the worlds number one player takes another twist.
While nobody should be exempt from the rules regarding entry in my opinion, it seems that his lawyers are preparing to argue in his defence through the courts on Monday.
However having just read a BBC article it would seem Djokovic was tested positive on the 16th December for Covid ( normal isolation time 10 days ).
What troubles me, according to the report, it states he did in fact attend a ceremony on 17th December when he was honoured by having his face placed on his country's mail stamps!
With respect for his tennis abilities, surely as a Sports Hero this does nothing for his image and sends out the wrong message to his army of fans, just my thoughts. JB

What argument could be made? "Your honor, my client doesn't like your country's rules. Please let him in. Also, he is rich."

Naw.......... hate Tennis and all sports that distract the majority of testosterone on this planet. No wonder the world is 30 seconds from thermal nuclear war. It got there while grown Men are watching a bouncing ball and a black hockey puck and a bunch of roided out goof-balls playing football.

the recent drama farce re: Djokovic, was 100% political theatre, had NOTHING, ZERO, NADA, NOT ANYTHING TO DO with vax's or non-vax's.
Typical politicians. Nothing against OZ, the WHOLE world is identical. <grin>

    Well well well
Novak Djokovic has had on his appeal, overturned the revoked visa in his favour!
Since he has won his court appeal, I would like to ask
(1 ) what was his medical exemption for not having the vaccines?
    (2) Why the delay in admitting he had infact caught the virus in the first place.
( 3 )Having tested positive why attend the ceremony in his houour the day after a positive test.
As for all the hundreds of supporters outside the courts for the announcement today, one last question....why were none of them wearing masks?

It would seem strange to me that a positive test on December 16 would be the decisive factor in the decision on an exemption application that he had to file no later than December 10.
So either Tennis Australia allowed him to file later than the rules stated, or he applied on the basis of an earlier infection.
Whatever be the truth of that though, Novax Djokovic didn't do himself any favours with this antivax episode, and neither did the Australian government, with the prime minister trying to score some cheap political points and the Immigration Minister threatening to overrule the court.

Personally I think it was not a case of trying to score cheap points.
More likely that the Immigration authorities were acting accordingly to the rules imposed, this probably caused imbarrassment after him being cleared by the Tennis organisers and granted a visa.
I would also think that public pressure played a large part, having been restricted through covid rules, made their voices heard.
More to come out of all this yet, in my opinion.

Well, the way I see it there's plenty blame to go around,
to Novax Djokovic for behaving like an arrogant and entitled individual who isn't concerned at all about the impact of his actions on others, and for failing to take responsibility for them.
to Tennis Australia (a bit) for their interference with something they shouldn't be involved in (visa's),
to the Victoria government for failing to coordinate effectively with the federal government about exemption based visa's,
to the federal government for politicizing their decisions in the matter.
The list might get longer this weekend as the courts mull their response to the second round in this silly pre-tournament match.
In short, losers all around, nobody wins.
