    Here are some takeaways....

    1. You must have a "one health pass" when entering or re-entering the Philippines but I could not complete my "vaxcert" online because after numerous attempts I could not get them to update my 2nd shot and my booster shot so I lied and checked that box anyway. So when they scanned my page they sent me to another desk and I produced my vax card and no problem.

    2. IF you are married to a Filipino then you do not need an Insurance policy or a onward ticket.. but you must carry your marriage license with you at check in when getting your boarding pass. I had no problem with Cebu Pacific ..

    3. They have a testing facility at Terminal 3 that will furnish you with a "rapid test" good for 24 hrs. if you leave and return within that time frame... cost 600 peso and result in 30 min or less. If you stay longer in Singapore like I did (missed my return flight) they have the same facility but cost is 1000 peso with same time frame on result.

The whole trip has become too tiring with too many lines as I am getting older and have less patience with authority  so my mission this next year will be to finally get my 13a

    hope this helps

    I don't know.
I have a issue with this at the moment maybe someone will be able to help.

I am married to a Filipino well at least I was but last year she became a Australian citizen as well as the kids. I didn't realise her dual citizenship is not automatic and need to apply for it. So currently NOT a Filipino.

We are living in Thailand at the moment and want to travel to Philippines, from what we believe she will need a visa and I cannot apply for 13a because she is no longer a citizen.

My question is can dual citizenship be applied for in Bangkok or Cebu? We have emailed but no one gets back to us.

She (and the kids) can get her Philippines citizenship back from the Philippines embassy in Bangkok. It won't take long. I am sure they would have done this procedure many times.....Takes about a month in Oz...so maybe double that in the land of smiles. It won't affect her Australian citizenship at all.

Sorry don't get here often. I suspect you have found out already that your plan was sadly not possible. You would have to stay in Thailand to do it most successfully. We only know about this because a friend's wife has recently done it in Oz - and currently selling their house to get to their retirement destination on Luzon.. By the way there is an intense amount of paperwork to get organised before you can even submit to the embassy. Once it was all gathered together and submitted it moved along quickly. That said there is no margin for error - you will need her grandmother's certified stool specimen? LOL...almost that level of requirement....

We tried in Bangkok but needed some certificate we can only get in Philippines or Aust.

So will just do it in the Philippines.

    Stool specimen sorted...........
