In May 2019 I bought a new motorbike and paid by cash. November 2019 the motorshop just gave me a copy of the CR.
Been away from the Phils during January 2020 until March 2022, due to covid-19 which did not allow me to re-enter. So when back April last, went to the motorshop and asked for the original CR.
More fun in the PH, as up till today went there 10x and each and every time a lot of bla3x and finally the answer is, come back next week, by the end of the month, come back next month and so it can be continued till year 3000 of course.
No need to say I am getting sick and tired of the whole situation.
I need a lawyer and start a case to get a simple LTO doc like a CR!?
My 5 piece cents opinion, most likely the original CR got loss somewhere and the motorshop now refuse to make up an affidavit and apply for a new duplicate, which brings some costs for them of course.
Any suggestion that could solve this problem for me.

    I don't know.
I believe there is a department of trade and industry here in DGTE, I had a problem with a Motor Trader once, as luck would have it my Pinoy Landlord an astute business man, got on the Phone to them and told them if they did not deal with this matter he would report them to the DTI, that got us an immediate positive result.

Decided to go to DTI yesterday. Before I did so, visited the motor shop. Guess what….much to my surprise all the sudden they did show me the original CR. Sounds like, miracles do still exist, even in the PH. Was not really interested to listen to their bla3x explanation and left the shop in seconds. No need also to explain this was the 1st and last motorbike I will ever buy again in this shop.

The shop owner, most likely unaware what’s going in his shop should not be pleased if he will find out. For the staff, well not even one centavos interest to satisfy a customer as long as they can be on face-book or any other app, what I did observe during the numerous visits I made.

I lost my CR at the smoketest in Banilad, gave them the papers on my bike and after the test, paid and pick the paper up. The guy who handed out my paper said you don't give us your CR, I know for sure the CR was there when I gave them papers on my bike.Hop and dance, it is word against word and of course I know I'm the loser in that game. I was stopped in a checkpoint showed them my paper with a copi of the CR, no problem. My problem is, I want to sell and buy a new bike, I know it will be hard to get a new CR from LTO. Never bring your original OR/CR to smoketest, they accept copies

Just let a lawyer make up an affidavit, you have lost the original CR. After, I think, not sure of course, LTO could provide you a new duplicate of the CR.
Otherwise, what I've heard from the grapevine, many motorbikes are being sold among pinoys without ever being made up a final deed of sale. This way you will take some risk, if ever the new owner is involved with serious traffic violations and not stopped on the spot, they will go after the owner related to the plate number as registered.......you!!

I'm in the lucky situation, I have a friend who will bring the copi to LTO and exchange the copi to original, only problem this person is abroad for a few months, but of course I can wait, again so important to know someone who knows someone
