Hi to all Does any of you Philippine Permanent residents (13a) had your 5 years validity ACR I-card expired?. Mine is for a few months. Please, How to do to renew it?. Any special requirements?. I read that to show the 13a aproval papers is needed, is this true?. Can be done in Dumaguete?. Any fines? Thanks.
Best to call into Dumaguete Immigration office and seek clarification...they may be able to arrange it (for a fee) as it has to be done in Cebu City I'm fairly sure.
Mine expired twice. First time I went to Manila for renewal, what a zoo. Last time I paid travel agency at the mall to process it. Not cheap but so much less pain.
Thanks PatO for your help. If you don' t mind. Why to go to Manila, couldn' t you renew it in the place you live? Besides the usual payment of U.S. $ 50 for the renewal, did they make you pay fines?. Did they ask you as a requirement to show the '13a visa approval papers'?.
You can enter and you can exit with expired ACR Card. Just make sure you are carrying such card (expired or not) Renew the card as soon as you can and do not worry about a fine, Basically does not exist. If you do not renew the expired card, it may reflect on your adherence record at BOI. So........just pop into BOI and they will sort yah out and direct you. Remember that everything here changes every time a dead fish hits the road, so always try to stay updated on the current regulations.
I believe you can only renew your permanent at BOI in Manila. They check records to see if you paid the annual registration fee.
