This was full up till March, would have been a good temporary stop gap or more.

Thanks and no not to late at all...

SECURITY is high on my agenda as in number one.
I note what the more affluent Filipinos do and know there is a good reason for it! Sorry to hear that you were burgled, over here with that anything can happen. Would make me think twice about being here. As an example
Pulu Amsic Subdivision, Angeles, Pampanga, has very strict entry gate, roaming guards with dogs, high walls. And no it's not like a prison but super secure or at least as best as can be...

Have looked at a few properties so far but nothings really hit home yet.

Have transport currently in Bacolod, will bring down when proper place found. Don't need in dumaguete, any viewings can go by trike who can then wait for the return.

Viewed one today with a pool, which I thought was steep, long nose price perhaps or just shortage of available houses? Was in dumaguete btw.

In the meantime hotel is home!

If Dumaguete itself is not off the radar for you, there's a few houses for rent in the subdivision where we live.
Security wise it's pretty much ok, no street dogs, no piggies next door, and generally quiet. It's in Bagacay (not too far from Hypermart). If interested, give me a shout.

I'm kind of fairly set in valencia or Bacong way or close to due to the cooler temperatures and wanted a decent area as the wife likes planting.

Most currently I've viewed seem to be off the dumaguete to valencia large road going up the hill. That's the best I can describe it. Think I know the hypermarket, on the right going up the hill.

How was Bacolod? I have not been there yet but a friend of mine has some condos there and was asking me if I was interested in one of them because he knows I am close to retirement. I am not going to take him up on it but how does Bacolod compare to Duma?

Bacolod has about everything. Many great Restaurants. Not quite as safe as Dumaguete as per this link.

Much bigger than dumaguete. More major malls, in fact really spoilt for choice. Wider roads, very flat. Stayed there a number of times, seemed safe to me but some previous history, quite a lot of traffic but roads generally deal with it.

This uk bloke who lives there has all you need to know.
