Anyone else getting these constant 10-20 minute brownouts? Just wondering how widespread they are. Suggests the system creaking with overload. I'm aware that there are supply issues in some parts of the country, but not the precise details. Thanks.
Hello Mike. Moved thread here as Noreco 2 threads have for years contained the same content theme. Brownouts in the Philippine are very common and a normality. To address your question, I am in Tanjay and have had about 6 short un-announced power outages last 2 Months. Every City, Town and Municipality can have it's own unique power hiccups and there is no across the board event that will effect all at once. Trees, transformers, short circuits and Human error all contribute to random outages along with many other unforeseen reasons. Cheers!
Thanks for the responses. I'm aware of the general vagaries of the power supply system, but this feels different. Each time our power has gone off for a short time, the water has also gone off, which suggests either a main line issue, or an issue along the entire length of our feeder line, affecting the water pumping station. What makes me think it's not the latter is that our neighbour is on a different line and theirs has also been affected similarly.
Mike......... I have found over the years being here that each BRNGY has 1 if not a couple residents that work for NORECO. Maybe search them out and ask them. May be something even that can be corrected. Could be a transformer ready to blow also and is failing.
