If like me you have never heard of Anita Bogan, once again I have been enlightened to a few facts of the brighter side of growing old. This quote is from the "Word for Today" which was started by Bob and Debby Gass many years ago and continues to give bible related insight in a world thats truely lost it's way. When you have experienced the ups and downs of life and can still show kindness to others, your life has not been wasted, its a sign that hope still exists no matter what tomorrow may bring.
Just keep sowing good seeds, no need to look back. Some will land on good ground and multiply (people will pay kindness forward). The others, well, they will become food for the birds and critters From a smile, encouraging word, or just listening, many times an act of kindness doesnt cost money. Those are the actions remembered. We can all be an example of living kindly and humbly, regardless of socioeconomic status.
Growing old gracefully? Nuh, I'll go kicking and screaming; "NO"! But, kidding aside, a very good post OP.
