Has anyone used movers/moving service or can recommend one here in Dumaguete? Will be moving from Dumaguete to Valencia in the next few months and just doing my preliminary research to prepare. Do they have enough manpower or equipment to lift heavy items? Thank you.
If the above suggestion doesn't work for whatever reason, it might be an option to contact Mandaue Foam about their "relocation service" (assuming you have a decent amount of MF furniture). We used them when we moved to current location 6 years ago, worked like a charm. Price was very reasonable and additional advantage was they didn't have any problem taking apart the beds (and putting them back together).
There appears not to be a removal service similar to those in our countries - for a big move I made in the UK the lorry was massive and for a smaller move I employed a 'man with a van'. I think here the removal vehicle is a pick-up truck of medium size. I have to assume it is not viable here because of infrequent house moving with substantial contents but could be a good business if it included using the removal vehicle for general transport of goods as well as house moving (so would be like the 'man with a van'). The number of large vehicles we see here with 'Not for hire' written on them must mean there are regulations preventing their secondary use and that is a pity (although I guess it can be done on the quiet).
Agree whole heartedly,,,,,,, Mandaue I have used 3 times and they have always satisfied. imeldific68 Phone: (035) 522 3005
When choosing a mover, consider their reputation, manpower, equipment, insurance, cost, and services offered. Check online reviews, ask for referrals, and get quotes from multiple movers to compare. Start your search early, create a detailed inventory of your belongings, pack carefully, and communicate clearly with the movers.
