I don't know if it's my hearing getting better with age or if the motorbikes around here really are getting noisier. If i am honest the noise does not really bother me as there is so much other noise that it all blends together. What i would like to know is WHY they spend money to modify the motorbikes so i have made a short list of reasons, please give me your opinions. 1. the driver thinks it will impress females 2. the driver thinks it will impress males 3. the driver gets pleasure from annoying people 4. the driver is an empty vessel (a brainless buffoon)
There city orders, no doubt about, to regulate this problem, but.........as always.........no enforcement!!
Last year one of the barangay counsellors was driving around our area with a loud hailer making an announcement on two different subjects, the first was unleashed dogs, this resulted in most dogs in our area being tied up but only for one day, the second was about noisy motorbikes which had absolutely no effect. We live in the land of no consequences, there can be laws but if there are no consequences for breaking them then why have them ?
I am also annoyed by them. I think it is just being coo, like mirrors on your bike look uncool. But a loud mike could be safer, maybe...
