    Life expectancy has risen significantly over the past century, thanks to medical and technological advancements. But a new study looking at data between 1990 and 2019 found that while average life expectancies increased in many countries, the rates at which they rose slowed down.

    The new research suggests that while more people regularly live to their 70s, 80s and 90s, getting the average age up beyond that will prove difficult. “We’re basically suggesting that as long as we live now is about as long as we’re going to live,” said S. Jay Olshansky, a professor who led the study.

    If we could double the average lifespan, would that make early SS retirement age 124 and full would be what, 134. What else would have to change? Would birth rates have to come down for mother earth to support the average persons doubled lifetime of consumption?

    Three score and ten....70 and plus
    Every day is a blessing, no matter what age you might be, living at right now.
    "Live for today, for we dont know what tomorrow might bring".
    That doesn't mean to live life rectlessly, or to de-value it, but acknowledge the blessing.
    Dont live the regrets of yesteryear, but look forward to the future, one day at a time, for in a world of uncertainty
    there is always hope for tomorrow.
    In todays "Word for Today" it talks about children suffering the effects of WW11, being given a piece of bread to take
    to bed with them, tired and hungry from the shortages in their lives, the bread was a comfort, that tomorrow they wont go hungry.
