Knowing that my garage roof space had been used to store things, that my wife had decided were no longer in keeping with her style, I have just spent most of today sorting out a few thing to keep and the rest to pass on.
I managed to fill my car with stuff to give away, CD's, films, ornaments and glassware.
I even had an electric wok, which was still in the box, never used, games and a artificial christmas tree!
Well, after offering it all to two charity shops who said they had no space for them,
I headed to the local rubbish tip, fortunately they had a large table next to a truck for recycling goods, so it's my hope that someone will be able to make use of the goods, that I have placed there.
When ever I go to the rubbish tip, especially with garden waste in summer, I am always amazed by what people throw in the skips as rubbish, which if one was allowed to take, could possibly be re-used or simply repaired.
I know a lot of the stuff thrown away here in UK, would, in other parts of the world be considered treasure........Just a thought JB

What a waste, sad.. Whenever we have something we no longer need, we offer it to one of the kids working around. If they can't use it, chances are 99% a relative or neighbor can make use. Once even took sandals with torn strap. At old house, used to leave stuff outside the gate, again never there after a few hours.
