I was slightly overcharged by a major hotel booking company - such a small amount that most would not bother. However, I decided to contact them, partly because an employee could be cooking the books. But I came up against their AI generated responses in the chat. Every time I told them I had been over-charged I received the same response - just showing the amount they said I was charged (my bank statement shows otherwise). It became totally pointless continuing. Basically, the AI was telling lies - a new method of dealing with situations - and how could I trump that?
I agree but it is only about 40 pesos so "I'll take a rain check"! I was actually informing Agoda in case they have a fraud issue (40 pesos x a few thousand payments is worth it to some) - but instead I commented on their useless AI responses on my review of the hotel.
Their AI isn't useless, it makes them thousands, 40p at a time. Your call is important to us, please hold until it is no longer important to you
