As we live quite remotely we do a fair amount of online shopping, generally using Lazada or, less frequently, Shopee. Returning stuff and getting a refund from Lazada is a PITA and can take up to 3 months for them to re-credit your bank. Much to my dismay we had occasion to return something to Shopee today, who will collect the item tomorrow and my bank was re-credited within 1 hour. Happy Days!
I have observed higher postage for Lazada - my wife, with various schemes she is aware of, gets our Shoppe delivery rates down significantly. Recently we had quite a heavy parcel delivered for 10 pesos. The one thing I hate about Shoppe is having to sign in just to browse. It is unnecessary to sign in unless ordering and so Shopee does a disservice to its sellers.
It seems to be the way many companies operate nowadays, they want your contact details even though you don't buy anything so they can bombard you with adverts. It's best to give them a fake email address
My wife is a fan of Shein, that's where she is ordering things from clothes to solar lighting for the far. Never checked them myself. After that it is Lazada and maybe Temu. She is not a fan of Shopee after a couple of experiences. Shawn
In my experience, if you use Lazada regularly and have the occasional return, then it makes much more sense to ask for a credit to your Lazada account instead of a bank refund. Those credits are fast and you can just use them to pay for any subsequent order from Lazada.
It's not the email as most of mine are false anyway. It's having to bother to sign in - I am a young guy, living in the fast lane. I have no time for interruptions to the extreme pace of my life. (Some or all of the above may be false).
