Has anyone on the forum used xoom to transfer money from the UK to Philippines ?
The rate they give is the best i can find but they have a limit of 500,000php per transaction, does anyone know how many transactions of 500,000php is allowed per day or week or month ?I asked this on their website but the AI chatbot can't seem to understand my question.

It depends on the currency, for GBP Xoom seems to be the best option, but for € it's still Wise.
It might also depend on the time you enquire.

CB, I went to xoom.com, without logging in. I am seeing a similar higher rate for USD to PHP. Asawa uses XOOM, so I had her log in to see her rate. XOOM was offering her a rate 2.4PP less per USD. I suspect the rate for xoom that Wise is getting from them is possibly an introductory rate for the first use.

To see what the market as whole has to say, I refer to this website. https://www.x-rates.com/graph/?from=GBP&to=PHP&amount=1

It seems xoom assumes every customer sending money from the UK is a resident, but I would assume the numbers in the picture apply similarly when you don't live there, but you'll struggle to get to level 3 or even 2 if you don't have residency.

    I don't know.
At the time I was building the house I transferred P2Mill over two weeks in units of P450K, I did this through Wise, I'm sure I may have been allowed to do this all in one day but this I do not know, two transactions were done on two consecutive days.

These days I use BCremit to send over a monthly allowance for the Family perhaps not the best rates but a very low commission of only £2.99 per P30K, sending P60K I think it is something like £4,19, I think it was closer to £12 with Wise?

I got the world remit app and registered with them but the only option to pay for the transfer is by debit card and for some reason the payment will not go through, i tried many times and get the message that my card cannot be authenticated, i checked with my bank and my card is not blocked :bag:
