The website owner should fix this with the hosting service provider, it makes people go scared when their browser warns them this website is no longer safe to visit. On a different but very much related note, this forum is in dire need of more exposure on social media. Groups on Facebook with a similar purpose are growing fast and enjoy active discussions among members, even though such groups and the discussions there are not structured, difficult to search etc. A forum like ours is basically a much better proposition than a Facebook group, but people can't find us. There are ways to fix that, but with a disinterested website owner initiatives to re-ignite the subdued activity here are unlikely to succeed. The website owner should consider offering someone or a small group with an interest in promoting our community to take over.
This issue has now been sorted quickly and I feel there may have ( I hope ) been a small but genuine wake up call @gord
Friend of mine who is new in Dumaguete wanted to register. Not possible. No confirmation mail which is necessary to finalize the registration process received despite countless attempts. After 2 weeks or so he finally gave up. Every given day he asked for support and requested to resend the confirmation mail but nothing happened. Not even a reply. This forum could be a nice help for people that want to get information about daily life in Dumaguete especially for those just arrived. I am deeply concerned without proper administration this forum will die shortly. Only a handful long time members are posting occasionally and newbies are in fact rejected. It comes with sadness.
Stefan, In the Absence of any Moderation /or Help I have informed the Forum Owner of your concern an sent him a copy of your Post. Hopefully he will sort things out. @Stefan_Negros Jack
