Physically and mentally drained….tried finding a replacement for a leaky shower cubicle waste trap and flex hose but nothing that fits. Shower cubicle is only about 5-6 years old but it’s now unserviceable and unusable. Visited Handyman, Citihardware, Uymatiao, YY store, Rejoice, Mr. DIY, Lee Plaza…nothing! End of venting!
When I was to build the house there I was to find many plumbing fittings to be useless even buying the more expensive items in SS from CH, on Shopee there is a company called Go2Hardware they had good fittings at 25% of the price of the CH ones, sometimes with the likes of Traps it is better to renew all the way from the waste fitting to the the main drain, there is a small shop opposite Robinsons Mall which may be called City Plumbing? they had the likes of reduction rubber gromets that others did not have.
Hi Dave, replacing all plumbing works is indeed my intention, nevertheless, I cannot find a replacement trap so I am stuck… I might go down the route of ordering online or buying it when back to the U.K…
By far the biggest problem I had when doing the plumbing there was the sizes of the holes provided in the sinks for both the waste and the taps they were always oversized especially where ceramics were concerned, it is no surprise there is so many loose taps all around there, I often had to cut out oversized retaining washers out of a plastic garden chair, I did have many holes cutters on site to facilitate this. At one point I considered to open a small hardware store there, it would have been the only one in the whole area where the person behind the counter (ME) would know what the customer needed and have all the parts required.

As you are not currently here, may I pinch this idea. I have already ordered 10 plastic garden chairs and am almost set up to go.
