It's just as well the water in Valencia is almost free as we hardly get any, it's been on and mostly off for months and now in our street it's been completely off for more than 2 days. It's strange to see rain almost every day but nothing coming out of the tap. If the super el Nino is coming what's it going to like ?
Too much rain makes maybe the rivers too muddy. That's why they reducing or closing some pumps. Not sure exactly but something like that.
The latest interruption advisory, number 85, for 2026. Pulled from their FB page, if your curious what the other 84 reasons were.
There's always a Butt! Not being familiar with the situation in Negro's, but, if this is a regular thing that’s happening, I would be thinking about installing a system were rain water can be captured and filtered, surely this would help the situation for the future. ( Incidently in parts of UK, believe it or not, there is still drought warnings, due to the exceptional hot summer)
To be honest, since we installed our storage tank, pump and pressure tank 7 years ago, I couldn't tell you from experience if water pressure is still lousy in Dumaguete, since our tank has never ran empty. In other words, even with low city water pressure, the tank still fills faster than we use water. My original post with picture from 5 years ago is here https://dumagueteinfo.com/board/threads/water-tower.69061/#post-248403 I do assume the cost for a similar system now would be higher than I wrote back then.
