It also includes 1 year of unlimited calling to USA or Canada. Your friends/relatives can call you as if it is a local call---Or you could give one to your girlfriend and save a bundle. This saves about 25 cents/ minute when compared to calling on Smart.

It plugs into the USB port on your computer and you must have an internet connection for it to work. You can also use this with a cordless phone so you aren't glued to your computer like you are with Skype.

They work great. Just make sure you have sufficient internet speed or the connection will be very poor. Your computer will have to be on 24/7 in order for incoming calls to work also. A nice feature is that it comes with free voicemail too!

 

So that she can call you more easily to ask for more money? Sounds like that would just cost me more money.

I have never used them but they might have voice mail options which would also be helpful.

 

We use one here in the states and it includes unlimited long distance here in the states. The international long distance carries an addition charge or you can use a calling card. If the family in the PH had good internet I would buy one and sent it to them. Then we could call as much as we wanted for no additional charge.

When you buy the unit you get the first year of service. It is $19.95 a year if you pay one year at a time. When I signed up for service I spent another $69.00 and it got me service for a total 6 years.

A pretty good deal. considering I spent $45 a month just for basic service here using Vonage and a regular land line will run you more than that most places in the states.

The MJ voice mail is sent to the email address you setup when you sign up for service.
