FREE Community Garden (Dauin)

Not sure if this is the correct category in which to post.

My wife owns about 2 Hectares ( 5 acres ) of fertile farmland 17 km south of Duma. We were pondering a European style community garden for the property as a way to develop friendships and to produce and share a variety of organic crops.

In the past we have grown corn, peanuts, siniguelas, etc. Currently we have about 200 banana trees on a small portion.

There is a small shack and honest caretaker there already so we would not have to carry all the tools back and forth.

No charge for the use of the land. Power and water are very close by and maybe those expenses could be shared if required.

 

What a very nice way to promote friendship and at the same time cultivate your own produce. Pity I am currently out of the country, I would surely take part of this great opportunity.

I miss the days when we have to travel as far as Dauin and Valencia for our Agricultural Extension program from school.

And with that great chance to cultivate your own, not just observe other people's crops and plants, it is just great!

What a fantastic idea and a very generous offer. I wish we were a bit closer, as we would certainly join in on this. We still need to acquire our own transportation, but once we do (and if there's still space available), we would love to participate!

 

Great one! Couple more months, and I'll be in Dauin for life. Can't wait for me to see this place and see different kinds of crops.
