Siquijor Best beaches in Siquijor?

I went to Siquijor on my last trip about 2 months ago and stopped by The Norwegian Dream Resort. Even though the beach was beautiful, I found that the bottom was not very sandy when swimming... It was rather hard/rocky and it was extremely shallow. Is this the case for all of Siquijor, or are there parts that have sand stretching out far, and where I don't have to walk 1 km to get past my knees? If so, where, and which resort would be best? I'm not too much into diving and snorkeling - just want to enjoy the swimming.

Yes, all the beaches are bad, nothing there for tourists . . . but I think there are some beautiful beaches in Puerta Gallera . . .

 

i know one resort in Siquijor its name Kiwi.. it's simple one, for me its good for swimming there.. a lot to see if i go for snorkeling.. its not so shallow to swim.. and its not hard to walk on the beach because its sandy and no much rock to step when i go walking and if swimming is done and back to my room.. peaceful not over crowded. good for simple vacation..

i think not only your rentingrates are crazy you also hat longnoses,because siquijor has better beaches then many other islands and rechel i love kiwi ressort too

 

Beaches @ Siquijor

It depends on the different tides, which "beach" is best. The West Coast is not the best area for swimming over sand nor for diving or snorkeling. Better is the mentioned place Kiwi or Casa de la Playa or Islander Paradise in the north. Here at the south you can have this nice beaches at several private Accommodations (just send me a PM) and at "The Danish Lagoon Resort", Coco Grove (very expensive). Royal Cliff Resort.

It may be a littles ways away from Duma,but to Me one of the best swimming beaches on Negros is Sugar Beach in Sipalay.There are several nice secluded resorts there located right on {what I would say} Their own private beach.Best of all,there are no jet skis and no Karaoke allowed and not a single rock to be found in the sand beneath Your toes while You are swimming.I loved swimming there and so did My two Daughters. We stayed at Takatuka Dive resort,which was totally cool by the way,and You'll know what I mean if You get a chance to go to Their website. The two or three other resorts on Sugar Beach were also nice,I just can't recall Their names at th moment...

 

I'd rather confused about these beach comments... Obviously there's a lot of misinformation... What about Paliton Beach, San Juan, Maria, Sandugan Beach, Larena. Salagdoong Beach, Maria ... Should I really go to Sipalay instead?

 

If swimming is what You like to do, especially if You want a soft sandy bottom with no rocks whatsoever and no jet skis, then I would highly reccomend that You stay at any one of the Beach resorts at Sugar Beach in Sipalay. The only problem is that it will probably take You more than 3+ hours to get there given the current road conditions {which probably aren't a whole lot better than this past July}. Takatuka Lodge would be My choice again {because I have Children} but there's another one that's run by a German or Austrian {I can't remember} that's located towards the far side of Sugar Beach {I guess You could say the northern end}. Some of the know Who owns it. He's a really nice Guy that at used to live in Dumaguete Years ago and is Friends with Max from Duma. He serves up a great breakfast and has a pool table right out front next to the bar facing the beach. Don't get Me wrong, I love Siquijor. It happens to be My Favorite Island, it's just that I have never swam there..

Taste is different: some like the accessable sandy beaches, others not. Depending of the time you want to spend: why not a combination of Siquijor and Sipalay?

 

You are exactly correct, The Owner is Swiss and His Resort is called Driftwood Village. For Me it would be a toss up between the two { takatuka or driftwood} Takatuka for sure if You have Children because of the whacky/Kookie themed rooms and the rest of the Resort for that matter, and Driftwood for it's laidback feel and hospitality of not only the Owner but His Female staff as well. I will definately be going back this coming June. And also to Siquijor of course, but that will most likely be a solo trip because the Wife is too scared of the WAK WAKS, Warlocks, Witches and Voodoo practicians.....
