A few months back I bought the smart Bro USB internet, at first it was great. fast forward 4 months and now the speed and packet loss are almost unbearable.

Tried to complain at Smart center in Dumaguete, but they just tried to blame me and my laptop, even when shown right to their face, they haven't a clue about bandwidth, pack loss or ping speed. I hear "for a while sir" and "sorry sir" no less than 50 times, with nothing representing an answer. there is no one at smart center thats has any knowledge about what they are selling or how to handle a problem or complaint. HAHA business as usual in the Philippines.

I asked for a manager, "for a while sir" never happened.

I asked for the internet tech, LOL "for a while sir" "we dont have one, sorry sir" know wonder the service sucks!

    thanks for letting me vent!

yup that's smart for you. used to be one of the management for smartbro customer care. Your concern is also affecting a lot of smartbro usb users. Here's whats realy happening, once the cellsite you are connecting to is congested you would automatically be getting a gprs signal and not 3g or hspa. The only solution to this is to upgrade the cellsite in the area or reduce the number of users in a particular area.

And don't even bother calling *1888 for technical support. Our tech support sucks hehehe

Well smart is not thinking long term. Customer satisfaction should be the first. They just dont want money because they dont want to act for your complains. Then probably its time to try the others.

Second is that if their managers cant give or offer you solution then mail the president or ceo of smartbro. Definitely these manager wont be there for you anymore.

Not so sure about that, because many managers are not there because of their capacites but because of relations.

I think the Problem with the USB devices of both companies is simply that there is no technician needed as they are designed as plug and play. Therefore the support is pretty limited.

When it comes to support for the normal connections both offer, we end up with quite some threads we had about customer service about several companies.

One advice which works for me since many years is simply to shortcut the company and get the technicians contact numbers. Most of them are very happy to assist you when you call them directly.

Even if they stop working for one or another company, they usually know who is working there and will forward the number or like in my last case even come with them to my house to introduce them.
