As the others have said, that is actually cheap compared to Europe or the US.

Still, in the P.I. that is a bit high. Ask her to try Dr. Manolo Imbo, he has a clinic @ West Portal, Silliman Avenue OR infront of HolyChild Hospital. I am planning of having an implant too, and he quoted 35-40K Php.

 

I paid 14,000 pHP for a root canal and a local (yellow crown) haha... Was told next time will get the crown from Manila and it will be whiter.... so 3 teeth implantation for 20K... Best go to Cebu or Manila and get references... Figure real prices should be around 30 or 40k per tooth and expect a long process...

This seems to be quite a high price, but like everything else you only ever get what you pay for and there is no substitute for quality. But at that price I would want some sort of guarantees and redress if things went wrong.

Dental treatment in the UK is scandalously expensive (even though the dentists got their training at public expense) Three years ago I decided to get some extensive dental treatment; ( I had played rugby and boxed in my youth ) !!! I was quoted £12,500 (approximately 875000 peso) from British dentists. I got the same work done for £3250 (approx 227000 peso) in Budapest, Hungary and that included 3 return flights from London and 11 nights hotel accommodation. The standards, quality and facilities were world class, and it included a free check up, assessment and X-ray in Harley Street, London. Top quality location.

I have no financial interest in this organistation, but I am more than happy to recommend a first class service. So, for the sake of any Forum members in UK/Europe who may benefit, I will provide the name of the clinic and web site if you PM me.

Sorry Felisa, but implantation is NOT "putting in a new tooth".
It is, primarily, the inserting of a titanium (or similar) post through one's gums deep into your jaw bone (if working on your bottom teeth). Then, if one is wearing a lower denture, the additional drilling out of the denture and inserting a cap and "O" ring so it will fit (clamp) over the inserted post now implanted in your lower jaw. For my lower denture, I needed three implants....call them posts...(Usualy requires four). Fortunately the implant Specialist (and it sould absolutely be a "Specialist") was able to use my existing lower denture for the "O" ring placements. Cost, in 2004, in USA, West Palm Beach, Fl was $5,000.00USD for all three implants only. If a single "tooth", or a new denture would have had to be made, the cost would have been correspondingly higher.

Yes, at first reading that price 9P 60,000K to P80K per implant) does seem a bit high...especialy after seeing someone elses post talking about 20K only!

However, I just calculated my costs in West Palm Beach, Fl,USA, from back in 2004 for 3 implants in my lower jaw - using the same lower denture, and the cost was $1,666 for each seperate post (implant) = $5,000.00. So I guess her price isn't all that bad considering the sterilization of equipment, modern up to date equipment, professionalism....and IF the quality of the post is top -of-the-line.

I have had similar procedures that you had Itis a root canal with posts and a crown. Th e price you qouted is about right for the US.

My brother had 5 implants done some 3 years back and that cost him 25k here in the US.
