A friend of mine of 30 plus years lost his management job a few months ago selling motorcycles for Granstar. He's a great guy. Very responsible. Married and three kids. Should do well in most any kind of sales or middle management position. At 33, in the Philippines, his age is working against him. (I can't understand why, in order to save a couple of pesos, companies here pass over good, experienced, stable people, for younger bodies.) He was netting about P9,000 a month after the usual deductions. He'll take on any opportunity. All suggestion/ideas greatly appreciated. George: 0908 395 4333 or greberting@yahoo.com
Is he in Dumaguete or CDO? I used to ask Dgte tricycle drivers how much they made a day. He could make 9000/mo even after paying rent to the owner to drive it for the day if he didn't take 2 hour lunch breaks etc. - Not as cushy as a managment position, but it'll put food on the table. So he's 33yo and you've know him for over 30yrs?
job needed He's in Cagayan, but probably would move for a job. I thought about maybe financing a tricycle or taxi for him. If I had a little more capital, I would. Yes, I've known him for over 30 years. I courted his mom briefly. She decided to marry a different guy from Belgium and left her son behind. I kind of took over his support from then on. Don't get me wrong. I'm not his biological dad.
