Good Point Rhoody makes me stop and think, Seat belts, a beer or 2 and drive home, bribe someone,no helmet, loud music sometimes, on and on, is there anyone completely pure? Not me.

Of course some filipinos brakes the law when the foreigners are ready to pay them to commit illegal actions.

I am glad those Filipinos don't break the law and do their normal job and still ask the nasty foreigners to pay them extra...

 

Try telling that to 90% of the locals, they'd laugh in your face!:D

 

we all complain about corruption, criticize the PI for it but who doesn't then turn around and take advantage of it when the opportunity pops up...

Don't spend my money and I promise I won't spend yours. I say go for the discount. They can always say no. Frankly in a town like Dum if there weren't the 8,000 plus expats, foreigners, etc...living here this town wouldn't be where it is today even with all the schools. No malls, new roads, NADA......We are an exploited bunch in a country with many, many double standards. No one forces us to live here but I for one will try every chance I get to do better for myself and family just as I would back in the States.
