    Hi I'm new here on this forum, I live in Misamis Occidental (yes, I know, so what am I doing here in Dumaguete) and I'm not really a lunatic, well I don't think I am yet, but I'm working on it.

    I found my way here while I was surfing/ looking for information on swimming pools and there was an interesting article on pools in one of the posts, but the post is some years old.

    Anyway, I want to have a swimming pool built and anyone who can point me in the right direction to a pool builder, it would be appreciated. Also where not to go, as in a builder/supplier, it would be appreciated likewise.

    Easy answer, if you just want a 'tiled hole in the ground', use your local building contractor, cheap, simple, easy and quick. If you'd like a bit better quality pool, unfortunately, one may have to fork out a bit more. 'Pay peanuts...... get what one deserves.'

    Hi KTM

    I understand exactly, and no, I am not looking for a tiled hole. I was hoping to be steered towards a respectable pool builder and steered away from someone who will not do a proper job. Any info/experience of same would be appreciated. Thanks

    Well. I have made one with a company from Cebu. At least my arcitect told me so. The pool seems to be ok,Its 5 years now. But the way they connected the filtersystem wasn't in a way that impress me in any way. I, a person with at that time had no experiences in pool systems easily was able to find problems right away.So the first I had to do was to instruct how it should be. I use pool products from Hayward.

    Hi Blackline, nice looking pool. Was Hayward the actual pool builder or only the pool products supplier.

    It was only the pool products supplier( pump,DEfilter Variflo-valve, skimmers etc. The equipment was bought in DGTE.
    I dont know who was the Pool builder. But was told that it was a company based in Ceby.
