hey guys Does anybody know what papers my girlfriend need to bring her to germany? She has a valid passport but i heard that she needs a visa from the german embassy before she can move to germany with me. Unfortunatly i dont know about visa rules for filipinas when they move to germany i hope somebody can help me out with some informations. greetings

alright i checked the website and i saw that "schengen visa" thing. Does anybody here experienced that? because for me i think it says i have to go to the german embassy in manila with my girlfriend. (sorry if im a little bit stupid about that i just dont really understand what they want :( )
Schengen Visa Hi Gorlies I thought you are from Germany, so you should know what a Schengen Visa is. As I see from your previous postings you are living in DC. With the Schengenvisa your girlfriend would be able to travel almost all European countries without another visa. In order to bring your girlfriend to Germany you need a Job and sufficient money to invite here. You also have to provide a reason that she is willing to return to the Philippines again. If you speak German then I recommend you to google. There many different forums out there which exactly discussing your problem. I am from Switzerland and only know it is quiet difficult to get a tourist visa for a lady in a marriagable age. My wife came here on a fiancee visa which took about 5 months to get. yes im from germany but its the firsttime that im into that visa stuff and yes im living here in DC thanks malfeis i already checked some other forums and yes its very difficult to get a visa for a filipina :( but thanks for the luck wishes im gonna need it hehe

i got a schengen visa lately For filipinas who would want to get a schengen visa for a short visit to their German Bfs; *Be specific if you want to go there to visit Europe with your own personal funds( own pocket) or have your BF's sponsor your trip ( Insurance,Air Fare and your Accomodation). If you dont want to opt for a Schengen Visa then You may apply for a fiancee Visa too. Checklist for requirements and documents needed are given and are downloadable from the german embassy site, Deutsche Botschaft Manila - Home Tips* with all the requirements stated in the checklist, these other issues where not thoroughly specified.. Establish your proof of relationship with your filipina GFs.( Photos alone does not give weight for easy approval,you should have visited your filipina gfs at least twice within two years,if possible obtain documents on your local trips, like ticket of ferry boats with your name and her name; domestic flights you went touring philippines,or hotel bookings u have;stamped letters from government posts between both of you; print out of emails and chats;nor screen capture photos does not get the interest of the consul; EU nationals should establish that such visit to the philippines was an intention to meet the girlfriend, as most EU nationals that came here may have stamped entry to the philippines but not as specifically to meet the girlfriend he is inviting ( this are facts). Filipinas applying for a Schengen Visa, CONVINCE THE CONSUL, THE EMBASSY , that you are returning to your home country philippines, and not go TNT, ( sigh that is the reason why our country in placed in the yellow flag countries by most EU embassies). Most of us given the chance will really escape from our native land, why so?, no need to explain..but sigh! Hope this share is useful though..
