Hi, my family (filipina wife and 2 kids) and me (german) are looking for a new home to rent in Dumaguete. We are renting our current house for 4 years but our contract is ending end of august. Monthly range: 15-20k Single House fully fenced or a nice Duplex with a private lawn area will do aswell. We have 2 high breed dogs, a german shepard and a lab-retriever. They are not barking unless there is a reason. So dont worry about that. But they make a private lawn mandatory. There has to be at least some landscaping. Fully or semi furnished 3 or more bedrooms. We would prefer something in Bagacay, Mangnao or Banilad, but would also look at nice places going north to Daro or even Sibulan or south as far as to Bacong. Both children are schooling at SL DB School, so the closer the better. House must be available somewhere from today until september 1 latest. Please post here or PM me with contact info if you think you know something interesting. Rhoody, I am not sure if it is ok to post here. Feel free to move it to a better fitting place. Daniel
Daniel, I was just on the road that goes from across from Hypermart down to South Hiway in Mangnao and saw a sign for a house for rent. Didn't see the house and past the sign before I could see if it had any more info, so idea if it fits your requirements. If I were you, I would drive down South Hiway and take all the roads east and west in Mangnao and Banilad and look for signs. I will keep an eye out in for you. Good luck.
kids, dogs, filippina wife... hmm in Germany landlords would say Super-GAU Anyway, there are quite some houses around 15-20 K for rent in the Batinguel, Taclobo and Motong area at present, good luck
Thanks Pat. I think I have already checked out every sign I found myself between mangnao and banilad. Most of them are out of date and the houses are occupied already. Much like the politicians here, they don`t care to take down their ads after its rented.
Hehe, yes. Even though my eldest is almost as big as you already and my dogs do not bark when the 25 neighboring street dogs start to sing. Thats why I am looking for a single house with lawn I was starting to look at some houses in Batinguel the past few days. I found something nice in Candau-ay which I would take at this point. Waiting for a call from the owner to sign the contract. Looks like I am competing with a fellow kraut for the house.
Thanks guys, we finally signed the contract. It looked like we were second in line, but the other guy interested was only an email contact. So being a local I could make the deposit directly and win the race I always thought Candau-ay is too much out of the way, but I tested time on the way back, and its only 10 minutes to our old house in bagacay. My eldest is not the happiest of campers right now, since he will be further from the city, but I start to like the area. Owners even agreed to do some last minute chages to the fences (privacy) and even build an extra bamboo shed in the back of the house as a storage room, aswell as a water tank.
