    Hello Everybody,
I'm coming to Dumaguete in a few days and would like to know if anyone knows of any places that shows the NFL football games, such as sports bars or what not. Yes I'm new so I hope the question isn't stretching my hopes too far.

Since none of those places are owned by americans your best bet is one of the 50 states but you already knew that. Here "football" like in much of the rest of the world outside of the US means soccer, and it is much more fun to watch than NFL style anyway. Now if you were intersted in basketball you would have a better chance of that.

My bf is HUGE fan of NFL. I think they dont offer it here at any cable TV (never heard one) and what he did was to subscribe to the NFL's game pass (NFL.com) and he only watches through the internet. Thats what he do most of the time.. Hope this info would help

For sure at Bernie's Sport Bar on Sepulveda in Torrance California.... if not there Internet NFL has full coverage.....Good Luck... I prefer real football..Soccer and we see all matches here in Philippines. Soccer is the most recogniced sport in the world, and IMO. Welcome to Duma on arrival!

make sure the place you stay has the appropriate speed. A normal connection here works (if not friday afternoon 'til Sunday evening) , but will not if your place shares it with several guests and rooms

Cheeze, a solution I used for NFL games when I lived in Makati was to use the Sling Box solution. You would need to buy a Sling Box in the US, order an extra cable box, and load the software on your laptop here.
The way I did it before the ex wife left and took the software, was her son in Calif ordered the Sling Box and the cable box and if it went out in Makati we would call or text and ask him to reset it. Worked great and received all cable channels.

I am looking at Game Pass and it looks good. As you know, most of the games in the US begin around midnight or 1am our time, until daylight savings time moves it back an hour. However I see there is an archive of games so if replays are available, I will go for it.

Elaine, could you please ask your husband if he watches the games on replay?
    Thanks

I enjoy watching soccer too, but hardly find a 1-0 score as exciting as a 35-32 nfl shootout by great athletes, just my opinion.
