Yeah likewise, Friday night out with the lads. 12 pints of larger then a nice vindaloos at my favorite Balti house. Now i'm down to 8 pints and a Chicken Bhuna Masala lol
Just as a matter of interest. Vindaloo is a corruption of the Portugese for Pork/whatever in Garlic juice it has nothing to do with hot chilis, that is a total abuse of the true recipe. The UK version would never be found in a Goan household (Portugese colony in India where the dish originated) Just as Chicken Tikka Masala is a corruption. In the Indian sub-continent you find Chicken Tikka or Chicken Masala, never the two together an abuse of two totally different recipes!!
Maybe! Sirmoori, I am sure you are correct, No matter, most of us Brits, will always remember, our Friday Night Vindaloo, with Smile's and affection.:D With of Course, Saturday mornings, Montezuma's revenge Jack P.
