Does anyone know a place to check out and/or repair a coffee machine? It's a brand new capsule machine and it seems the pump isn't running anymore. To far to send it back to the continent. Thanks for good meant advice!
I'm not sure what a capsule machine is but many coffee maakers use the heat to pump the water. The first thing I would try is to clean it by putting a mix of about 20% white vinegar with water in the tank. Pet it soak for about 30 min then turn on the machine to run the solution through the lines. That will remove deposits from hard water. Then run several cycles of just water to rinse the machine before making coffee. Good luck!
Thanks Tom2bad68 for your advise A capsule machine has the coffee enclose in little capsule which in turn is inserted in the coffeemachine. The machine pumps the hot water with up to 15 bars through the capsule and what you get is real good coffee/espresso with a nice foam on top of it. The system is very similar to Nespresso (see ads with George Clooney) As the machine is brand new no calcification can have happened. It must be the pump because when you plug it in and release the air in the system the pump will normally be running. It could be that a soldered wire broke, got lose or the pump died. Therefore we need an electrician who has the materials to test the electrical working of the pump. My wife went already around town with the machine, but it seems everone is afraid to touch this shiny new machine even giving it a try to open it up.:( So if anyone knows a repair shop for electrical kitchen appliances, please come forward. Thanks!
Did the coffee maker come with a schematic? Probably not. If it is new you should try to contact the manufacturer and see if they can make a schematic available. If not a talented electrical person should be able to trace the problem, although it does not mean that the parts will be available. Good Luck.
Coffee machine repair, amazing Philstyle :-) Finally my wife found a very creative electrician to fix the electronic problem of the coffeemachine. As the electronic circuit did not function properly he just circumnavigated it, added extra switches and look here it works! Gongratulations to the ingenuity of the Philippine craftmanship! :D I am amazed! My wife is now enjoying real tasty coffee, espresso and/or latte macchiatto! I have added some pics so you might have a clue how it looks now. Here in Switzerland, the machine would have been recycled and a new one purchased. Here you can find this innovative electrician who made the coffee machine work again (see above): RTC AIRCON SALES SERVICE CENTER ROY TAN CANG 109 HIBBARD AVENUE, PIAPI (035)-4229902 In case this is not allowed to publish, admin please remove.
I would assume in Switzerland if a new one doesn't work would have simply been returned to the store and replaced by the store?? I love the coffee out of these. Had a chance to try a Keurig maker when I was in the states 3 weeks ago.
