I agree, it was an extremely close fight and I would not have been surprised if the judges would have given it to Marquez; it was that close.
A good article about it on Yahoo Sports: Pacquiao beats Marquez by controversial decision .......Judge Robert Hoyle had it a draw, 114-114, as did Yahoo! Sports. But judge Dave Moretti favored Pacquiao 115-113 and Glenn Trowbridge had Pacquiao winning 116-112. Thus, Pacquiao retained his World Boxing Organization welterweight title and kept alive a mega-bout against Mayweather.......
watching the fight 2 times, there is no way Pacman won "legal". It is true that the challanger need to beat the the champion clearly, but that was a early christmas-gift for Pacquiao. No wonder that Roach is talking about a 4th match instead of facing the real undefeated boxer. Everyone who saw Floyd Mayweather against Marquez and how Floyd dominated Marquez with speed and power, coming out of retirement, can imagine what might happen. here a very interesting article: FIGHTHYPE \\ MANNY PACQUIAO: THE VEIL HAS BEEN LIFTED
People still watch regular boxing? And, willing to watch the same guys fight repeatedly? That's on desperate sport trying to hang on... Any UFC fans here??
