i'm shopping for a refrigerator and DU EK SAM has a Panasonic inverter compressor unit that looks good to me. PatO had a good DES experience (http://tinyurl.com/bmrp84v), anybody else recommend DES??? how about the other appliance venders in town? sales are the easy part, what about service and warranty issues? thanks... norm : ))~
Actually, I purchased two refrigerators from Robinson's Appliance, motorbikes from Du Ek Sam. Both were fine. Centrum is worth checking out too.
I bought several kitchen appliances from DES 4 years ago. So far no problems all working like new. Ron
I've bought motorcycles at DES. They service them well enough, but with the typical slowness. Got my last refrigerator at Centrum. Ants got into the back of it and ate vital stuff. Centrum honored the warranty. The repair took a week, but that's probably about as good as it gets in Dumaguete.
DES has a good reputation in Dumaguete with good service. The technician will even repair items that are not bought from them.
somewhat related question: I have a large Samsung LCD TV that I purchased up in Batangas, and brought down here when we moved. Its about 3 years old, and now out of warranty. Last week, heard a "poof" sound inside the set, and now nothing happens when you turn it on (no red light etc). I hopped onto samsung.com, and found that Du Ek Sam is the authorized service center here in Dumaguete. There are also two other locations mentioned: ProTech and another one I dont remember. So the question is : How is Du Ek Sams repair reputation, especially with TVs?
thanks for the feedback, guys. sounds like the fils are a step or two above what i experienced in panamá when it comes to customer service. norm : ))~
I guess granting of warranty services is standard for all appliance vendors. But when it comes to responsiveness of the vendor to send your appliance to service center, DES would be a good bet. Got all good experience with DES.
Just go to DES, bring some user manual of the TV-set, and ask the technician for advice (it is upstairs)
