    Hi
I am looking to purchase a Honda generator ( because they are quieter than most) is there an official distributor in Duma?

I stress the official because I bought a Dewalt jackhammer at Umytiao and when they subsequently "repaired" it wrecking the casing screws I subsequently found that the warranty was voided because it is only Belmont tools in Cebu that are an official distributor/repair facility.

    Thanks
    Ricardo

Ricardo, I haven't seen Honda but both Uy Matiao and Polaris have some to choose from. What size are you looking for? Also, across the hiway from Robinson's Mall, Jubon Marketing, which may have surplus generators in stock. However, I went there looking for a transformer and didn't inquire about generators. I bought a Japanese brand generator from Uy Matiao for my in-laws and it works great. If you are interested, I will get you the brand name. I was strongly advised to pay a little for a Japan model, as opposed to the Chinese brands being offered here.,

Thanks to all who have replied it will save me a bit of time

PatO what was the brand that you bought from Umytiao it would be a good idea to compare another Japanese model with the Honda.

I am looking for something that also has the capacity to run my jackhammer which draws up to 15 amps.

A friend of mine bought a large Chinese generator on the advice of a ships engineer one breakdown under warranty two breakdowns immediately following the warranty expiring combine that with the possibel lack of knowledge of the person fixing it adding to the problems. He lives on Siquijor and dragging it back to Dumaguete to get fixed isnt an exciting proposition.

    Cheers
    Ricardo
