Another Guy Jump to Bogarts Bar last nigh while Rhoody, Harald, Wilma,(Harald's wife) and me having drinks..
Just to have nice evening, nice talk, having beers, then this guy surprised me...

while Rhoody busy talking with Harald, this man (John Melaa) give me his 5000.00 peso for Thursday Club Project.
"Christmas Gift's for kids @ Provincial Hospital".

Rhoody stop talking for a while and give smile when he heard this guy saying "pls Rechel add this some peso i have here for the kids" that time i don't know yet how much is the money, I thank him and receive it.

John Melaa, Thank you so much for your help and Trusting me and Thursday Club project and most of all for trusting me w/ this amount.

It's so much pleasure and It's feels great when people trust me.

I will give this money to Roger our treasurer .

R and I just came back from a quick shopping trip.

we ended up with 5 monster boxes and 924 items. We decided to buy 120 reusable cotton-bags instead of that Christmas paper-bags which are throw-away items. Here some of the stuff we got on that shopping trip:

toothbrushes, baby-powder, coloring books, crayons, story books, feeding-bottles,plates spoons, soap-bubble-thingies, styling-gel, educational books, combs, ID Lanyards with ID-Holder, dolls, toy-cars, face-towels, and and and...

The Sales Supervisor of Unitops was 2 hours supporting us and delegated her staff to collect and count all items and gave us additional discount for the purchase and a special price for the cotton bags. thanks a lot !!!

As of now we have about 7 Items for each bag, including hygienic- and educational stuff, toys and for the "6-12 year" group some styling or fashion thingies.

What a great project , I wish I would be there now to help you guy's (and girl's) out there .iam sure there wil be a big
smile on the faces of those children .

At the moment R ruins her nails scratching off all prices from the 924 items. And my monsters sorting the bags and filling them

 

The generosity of members and friends alike has been overwhelming. As a rough figure, we are now running at approximately 30,000 peso and the figure is still rising. I will be able to give an accurate figure once the donations are in the book and receipts issued. We can now put more in to each bag, and can actually buy more bags than we originally planned. It is nice to have a little in reserve, as there will be some unfortunate children who will be admitted to hospital on Christmas Day so we will probably be able to provide for them also.

I will try and tie up with Pat at Casablanca this evening with book and receipts and attempt to bring everything up to date.!!! Will be there from about 6.30 pm onwards.
