I am trying to locate a place where I can buy brown coir in bails. Any Ideas?

I want to use it in my recently started Aquaponics project. I have also read about it use as a insulation. I wonder if it could be used to make acoustic panels?

Please let me know if you have any information.

    Thanks

My wife shreds her own coir by hand from coconut husks that litter the area on our walks to the beach in Bacong. They are laying all over! She uses them for her orchids.

I was hoping to avoid doing it by hand as I need a lot of it eventually. Thanks though. I have done a few that were laying around our area. Time consuming to get the fibers completely separated from the brown stuff around it. Maybe with practice I will get faster. LOL

Why not hire someone to do it? There are hundreds of thousands of people on this island who'd jump at the chance to work, if paid a ridiculous sum.

Try to inquire from Rudy Yee of Bacong. He used to have a coconut coir export business. Anyone in Bacong knows him.
