Every one should know that regular balikbayan box shippments to philippines are cheap..i spent less than 600 dollars US to ship to philippines around 125 kilos from US,and it was the large size that made it expensive, not by the weight..It took around 3.3 months to arrive....A year and half later i spent $1600.o US to ship back to USA 140kilos with same size and same shipment boxes....The return to USA shipment was by DHL coming to my house to pickup up in bacolod and bringing to my house in USA drop off...It took 6 days for me to make it to my house here because stop overs in other places to take care of things , and it took 7 days for my boxes to arrive or at least 2 of them...They flew the boxes Via philippines airlines to USA...a month later i got a call from los angeles DHL saying they have found my 3rd box in Tahiti and have it in Los angeles at last,,,they confirmed with me that they will get it to me and may be some customs hassle over misrouted box,but it is all accounted for, and in my opinion, i expected to be waiting until early March for ocean carrier to lumber into port...DHL did it even though it is expensive to ship from philippines out bound..For airfrieght, its a really good price i think
only thing that i couldnt get past the airport was my generator smelling of gasoline so i left it in manila with my lady friend from negros oriental near dumaguete,,,look at classifieds for it and make an offer, she has no use for it and would be happy to get some money for it while giving someone a great deal on it..i know i listed a price there but the money is for my friend there and she will be happy to take less...phone number is in classified section here..
