If so wheres the best place to go with lowest airfare? I am still considering Dumaguete as my haven but dont know about the hotter weather.I am also considering Cavite-Tagaytay-Imus and La Union-Pangasin Mangaldan for I have an american friend there in Pang Man married to a Pinay that will rent me a room untill I get settled.....Jimmy in shanghai.........jlewellen2003@yahoo.com

The cheapest throw away ticket may be with Tiger Air (Singapore) A flight from Clark to Hong Kong in February for 1,349 pesos. (1,099 + 250) Make sure you don't take a seat assignment (150 pesos) they make it difficult but it is possible. Maybe there is still an extra cost at the end of the booking process, something low cost airlines are expert in it. Alternative is a refundable (flex) ticket from Cathay Pacific, administrative cost of 50 US $ and wait 2 months to get your money back. On a business ticket from Cathay Pacific there is no cost in canceling the ticket but the ticket is quite expensive and you also have to wait for 2 months before the refund is back on your account.
My family and I (4) are coming there on one way tickets in March. And after a bit of research, its a bit hit and miss whether you get through. So did a search on cheap fares and came up with AirAsia. Clark to Kota Kinabalu was $13 per ticket (total $52 for 4). That was in July. So bought them as insurance, figured not worth the stress for $52. Richard
