Yes, I took the photo last Sunday. To get to the site from Dumaguete, we drove north past Bais and turned left on the road to Mabinay. We turned left at Paniabonon at the crossroad going to Bayawan(before reaching Mabinay). The falls cannot be seen from the road so about 10 km from Paniabonon, after crossing a river, one can follow a footpath to the foot of the falls. We used a 4X drive vehicle since the road is very rough due to its use by sugarcane haulers. It took us about 2.5 hours to get there from Amlan.
Yeah, it's a real rough journey, and long from Duma. Hard to say its worth-it unless you spend the night up there, don't do all RT driving in one day. Did you do the cliff-jump, balustre? Were there plenty rainbows? See my page of shots from there, last winter, incl my attempted re-naming for tourism purpose...: Niludhan Rainbow Falls, Negros Oriental, 2011
beautiful photo! I'm going to try and get up there and do some photography as well. Thanks for sharing, Mark
Yes I saw your pics of the Niludhan Rainbow Falls, Mntnwolf, which prompted me to go there. I didn't do the cliff jump...chickened out.
