Howw could anyone not feel that, all the extra rebar we added during construction just paid off big time.
This is one of the Philippines Seismic recording web sites, this one not recorded yet http://www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph/html/update_SOEPD/EQLatest.html
Yup, a really good 60 seconds shake here in Bagacay of Dumaguete. have never felt one that strong since I left San Francisco ( had a proclivity for living in dangerous places, it seems; nothing like this ever happens in Korea). Two notable aftershocks have been felt so far. We might be in for many more. No visible damage to my house -- like Manzanita, i'm glad that we spent the money to build it right. Water, electricity and internet have stayed on -- there is a surprise and a blessing, somebody in the city is doing something right. Thanks for the info just posted above.
The mall emptied out fast. Including us; we'll finish our shopping tomorrow. I imagine mall workers have to stay at their posts during an earthquake? The ground was still shaking under our car in the parking lot..
