Hello Ivan welcome, hemm as far as spouse visa I don’t know the ins & outs but I think once you apply for it and your fiancé is in AU you have to marry her within nine months or she has to return back to the phills. I know you can get her to AU on a travel or holiday visa for a max of 3 months, cause I have been through this, my wife had to have chest xrays for T/B the process took about 4 weeks for the visa.

Thanks Brian, does my partner need to have a certain amount of money in her bank to satisify immigration if she applies for a holiday visa to Australia?

Hi Ivan no money needed, you will need to have proof that you can support here stay in AU, also state that you will if it was to arise pay for any health issues that she might have while in AU, if you have a business you can show bank statements, you will need to have a letter of invitation, inviting her to come to AU to be your visitor and to see tour around AU, I had a copy of both but not sure if i still have it.
You will need proof of phone calls to your fiancé, emails, photos while in the phils with her & any support you have given her over the years. this will be needed for your fiancées visa requirements in the phills.
Does she have a pass port?
Do you travel alone to the phils ?? i hade a funny experience with AU immigration on about my fourth visit.
    Brian

    Hi Ivan
Have you thought about get married there in the Phils.
I did this when i got married and not that hard.
It was 15 years ago, but should imagine things are fairly similar.
You need about a 3 week time frame.
Tell them you are not catholic and get married by the local judge (maybe $300).
When they ask for an exorbitant about of money for the reception (maybe $2000-$3000) tell them thats ridiculous and give them $500 for the reception at her house.
Once she is free to marry you have to put a notice that you will marry her at the baranguay hall (announce marriage).
That stays for 2 weeks (i think).
After that you get married and spend your honeymoon in Manila lodging the papers that you have all ready filled out ,and lodge them at Aussie embassy.
Just be honest when you fill out the papers
The paper work is not that hard, but as Brian stated take evidence of the relationship.
You pay the the application fee at lodgement.
Then about 6 months later (might have changed a little time wise) you go back there to pick her up or she flies out by herself.
I went back there myself when i did it.
You stated an annulment (can be tricky), so if she can get married there and her clearances are legit you should have no probs.
A lot of this depends on the size of the allowance you have been sending her.
If you have been sending her heaps $100+ a month she could be expecting a massive wedding.
If she starts complaining that she wants deluxe, seriously start looking for another, because in most cases it only gets worse (divorce is painful).
I did all that on my marriage and still going strong after 15 years and her family realize i am not a walking ATM.
I help them out, but am not a meal ticket (them get lazy) for them.
Anyway just chucking my two bobs worth in on the matter  .
If you want more details just let me know.
Hope it all works out for you.
    Cheers Richard

FYI, we were married by a Mayor 10 years ago. The total cost in our situation was less than $6OO for wedding and over 100 people at the reception. Good luck M8 on your plans.
