Pero, as for me, hindi ako OFW, I had no choice, as ang mga magulang ko ay lumipat dito for a better life for us...Ang mga kapatid ko lahat nag asawa ng mga puti, pero I know enough not to distance myself from my roots. Just so happened yung tama saakin ay pinay....Sorry, I lost it. Its all good in the brotherhood....

    lazy american worker?

I resent what you said Tunji .I am an American and promise you I will run circles around you. What we American workers are tired of is you and your ilk coming to our country and lowering our wage base and standard of living. We actually enjoy living in single family homes . The only thing I can say good about the philippino workers is that they are one step above the illegal Mexicans that come here and have helped to destroy this once great nation.

Whoa there cowboy. I agree what Tunji wrote was outta line, but we could disagree without the ignorant remarks. By reading what you said, I could swear you're sitting behind your laptop wearing a white sheet with a cone hat. If that's the case, you're on the wrong forum.

First of all I'm not a cowboy . Second , ignorant ? I think not . Calling American workers lazy , very very ignorant . Last , I won't even reply to the white sheet comment , not worth my time . And yes I believe I am on the right site and forum . I don't , have never and will never call anyone lazy without justification .If America is good enough for everyone to come and destroy this country then it's also good enough to keep ones comments to oneself while doing so .

You refuse to call anyone lazy without justification yet you will generalize immigrants and say they are destroying or have destroyed the US...Its like saying you love getting handjobs and hate giving one, its hypocritical.
At least we can both agree the lazy american comment was not right.

    Lowering wages

I have watched and have been a victim of the illegal migration into this country for years . This is a fact . The illegal Mexicans have destroyed every job they can get in to here in the late great USA . The construction trades are horrific . Filled with more Mexicans than ever . And at what cost ? The lowering of the wages . I used to be in the trades until it was over run by illegals . Now , thank god , I'm a registered nurse . Thankfully they are not smart enough to infiltrate this profession . But as soon as enough Philippine nurses get here , trust me , the wages of nursing will go down as well . But I really don't care because I'll be retired in the Philippines by then laughing at everything that's happening here . I'm looking forward to the day

I think there's been a hold on nurses getting working visas to the US...Not too sure. My wife and I had dinner at PF Chiangs at Planet Hollywood on the Vegas strip, and the hostess was Irish, the waiters were black and white, the cooks and busboys were ALL Mexicans...About the only Chinese in that place were the freakin chopsticks on the table. hahaha

The Filipinos who apply to work in America or anywhere abroad most have the right papers. There is a reason why they are hired, they are also instrumental in helping the economy of their host countries.

Its a modern world and the host countries have options to deny or allow someone who they think will improve their way of lives. It's actually pretty cool to know that not only americans but europeans, arabs even the chinese prefer Filipinos. There is a nice kind of synergy going on here...for some they do know that they can trust a Filipina to take care of their kids and their homes while the adults go to work. I take pride on that trust..

I hope this issue will not bring up hate between Filipino immigrants and foreigners...
for when foreigners come to the Philippines, altho our country has a lot of shortcomings, most of the people here will treat foreigners with the respect they deserve... and them spending their dollars here is actually pretty cool for our struggling economy too  I don't deny that.

    Peace.
