    Ghost peppers aka bhut jolokia

    Just about the hottest pepper in the world (I think something else took the title of #1 recently)

    I wonder if they would put off much of a smell in a dehydrator? I tried to dry some habaneros on low heat in the oven one time and the fumes were overpowering...won't try that again.

    The new world's hottest pepper is the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. I have some seeds that I am going to try to grow in the PI.

    Just dry them outside in the sun on a piece of screen or clean galvanized metal roofing. No fumes and low cost!

    ...and the fresh air and sunlight will ad to them! An example of this is sun-dried tomatoes versus "dried" tomatoes. There is a HUGE difference in taste!

    ...nothing better than ham and beef jerky and ice cold beer... good luck with laying them outside ...

    Research online seems to favor using a dehydrator, with just drying them outside a close second choice.
